INTERESTING TRIVIA
The tone of
Kinaray-a in southern part of Antique is different from the northern part of
Antique. The southern part has lower intonation while the northern part has
higher intonation. For example, when you hear “Tic tic tic tic! (sound of an
aswang)” in a highter pitch, then the aswang is from the North of Antique.
Otherwise, the aswang is from the South of Antique.
The word “Hamtic”
means large red ant or wasp. And they have two statues of ants located at their
plaza.

Tibiao Bakery is named after its
hometown in the province. They serve tinapays
and other baked goods for Antiqueños for more than sixty years now. I know
Tibiao Bakery since it also has branches in Iloilo City, and I love buying
goods there. Tibiao Bakery is popular.

An Italian
restaurant. The pizza there is exquisite! I cherished every delectable bite.
The pizza was very large and it’s thin crust. It was cut into twelve parts, and
Team Maparag-on shared the pizza that we won for free among the group members.
I wanted to go and buy there again if I have time.

Located in
San Jose, Antique, we ate on this restaurant. The seafood is delicious,
especially the sabaw and the atmosphere of the restaurant is that of a small
bistro. I like their atsara as well, but sadly, I haven’t taken pictures of it,
only two of my friends instead.
